Clip description

The languid faery King (Richard Moir) and Queen (Rowena Wallace) discover that today is the last day they have to grant seven wishes to humans or they will lose their magic power – forever! Their son, Prince Wilton (Justin Rosniak) decides to go to Earth but his father warns him that if he is caught there after sunset, he will die. Wilton travels to Earth, landing in a basketball ring in CW Pratt’s (Cameron Nugent) schoolyard during a basketball game. Surrounded by all these young humans, Prince Wilton chirpily offers them wishes, but the tough kids gang up on him.

Curator’s notes

This clip contrasts the settings of Wilton’s fantasy Enchanted Realm created through costumes, make-up and special effects, with the harshness of CW’s world, captured in a tough inner-city school playground.

Note the appearance in this clip of comedian Paul Livingston in the role of Gobbo, the goblin, getting his mouth zipped.
