Clip description

Wilton grants CW’s wish to be the most exciting person in the whole world in order to induce Katie (Ebony Ricketson) to fall in love with him. Instantly, CW is a famous rock star with a gigantic hit song ‘The Big Wish’. Holed up in a luxurious hotel room with the fans outside, Wilton is getting worried because CW is enjoying this wish too much to make any more. A slapstick scene ensues when a waiter (Esben Storm) brings in a trolley of food with Katie hidden below. As Katie starts kissing CW, her parents burst in (father played by Steve J Spears). A chase scene has CW pursued by the parents and hordes of fans.

Curator’s notes

This is a fun scene for the cameo appearances of the director Esben Storm as the waiter, the script writer Steve J Spears as Katie’s father and Martin Plaza, from the popular 80s Australian band ‘Mental as Anything’ as himself. The 1980s rock costumes are also fun.
