Curator’s notes
The clip introduces us to the new national capital city of Australia, Canberra. It begins with a panoramic view of Canberra that shows its rural setting. This is followed by brief shots of the Federal Parliament House (Old Parliament House) and the Cotter Dam.
As it is silent, intertitles are used to describe what the audience is about to see.
