Curator’s notes
In this sequence the audience is first introduced to the hunters’ world close-up and from the point of view of the animal protagonists. The filmmakers always present the human characters, both good and bad, as mysterious two-legged, non-speaking animals. It is as if we, the audience, are part of the threatened animal kingdom and are given the opportunity – by joining these brave animals on their journey – to take a look at human behaviour from another perspective.
