Clip description
This clip presents the natural and cultural heritage of the Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory.
Curator’s notes
This clip depicts the natural beauty of Kakadu and explains how the floodplains, forests and escarpment were formed and how rare animal species evolved in the area. It dates the arrival of Aboriginal people to the area at over 50,000 years ago. Their religion developed based on an intimate understanding of the interconnectivity of the natural world: between the land, water, flora, fauna, and the people.
