Clip description

Trapped inside a garbage truck, Abby (Indiana Evans) and Marian (Ross Pirrelli) find themselves about to be crushed. Quick thinking Marian manages to throw his dog out and Snobs saves their lives in the nick of time. The council inspector (Stephen Leeder) is impressed with how well Rose (Vanessa Steele) and the travellers have cleaned up their camp.

Curator’s notes

The almost human-like ability of Marian’s dog Snobs (played by a dog called Duncan) to help get the children out of trouble features in each episode. Snobs’ astonishing antics are the only obviously fantastical element in the series and here, once again, Snobs saves the day after following Marian’s instructions with a theatrical, against the clock rescue. This, along with the about-face by the bossy inspector and the success of Marian’s recycled speedboat, wraps the story up in a very satisfying manner. The young viewer will not be left wanting.
