Cherry (Rebecca Smart) tells Mr Edmund (Robert Grubb) of her dream to become a lawyer, to help poor people like her mother and the boarders, but says that her mother gets angry with her for having unreachable dreams. In turn, Mr Edmund tells the children of his dream, to sing in the Sydney Opera House. He also tells Cherry that her mother is wrong, and that if she wants to be a lawyer then she can be one.
Curator’s notes
Inner city Sydney stars in the clip, featuring the ferries, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The wisdom of Mr Edmund is gradually revealed, as he reaches and touches everyone he meets.
