The Leaving of Liverpool (1992)

  1. i would just like to say this is my ultimate favourite film. I have never ever seen anything like this. alot of people i speak to about this film have never even heard of it. you can only get the film in Australia luckily for me i am getting it at Christmas i haven’t watched this film for years but i am extremely excited about seeing it again. It really is an amazing film. The director made a brilliant film and the kids acting are fab! x

  3. I actually was part of the cast (Reggie) on this mini-series and it is an absolute honour to have worked on it.

    I was part of Bert's gang from Liverpool who joined the boys (Bill Hunter's) school.

    It got pretty emotional during some of the shooting as you took on the characters predicaments and started to feel their pain and anguish through the experiences they were feeling.

  4. I watched this movie about 20 years ago. It was so incredible and I never forgot Bert and Lily. They went through so many hardships and I cried many times as I witnessed their struggles. This movie represented the plight of so many others, it's a must see and needs to be made available on dvd.
