Curator’s notes
Afraid of the Dark mixes up the timeframe of its narrative by cutting between the case unfolding and later scenes between Halifax and her psychiatrist. As well as a structural device, these psychiatrist scenes give writer-producer Roger Simpson an opportunity to deconstruct his main character a little.
