Clip description

Cleo (Phoebe Tonkin) is sharing the surprise news with Lewis (Angus McLaren) that the magic wish potion works, when they are interrupted by a phone call summoning Lewis to join Emma (Claire Holt) and Rikki (Cariba Heine) at the café.

Curator’s notes

This sequence demonstrates how H20 combines the complexities of teenage life and personal dreams with magic, fantasy and the possibility of wish fulfilment. Despite the more fantastical elements, the characters are still dealing with real-world issues like family breakdown and unrequited love.

Angus McLaren, who plays Lewis in this clip, left H20: Just Add Water during series three to focus on his adult role as Nathan Rafter in Packed to the Rafters (2008–current).
