Nothing fazes Norman Gunston as he fronts the great legend of rock, Frank Zappa from the American band 'The Mothers of Invention’. Zappa is puzzled but plays along becoming more amused as the interview proceeds.
Curator’s notes
This clip is shot largely with a hand-held camera at the venue in which Frank Zappa is to perform. This technique effectively parallels the more informal and laidback nature of the interview itself and positions the viewer as an interested eavesdropper on the conversation. It’s a good example of simplicity of production achieving maximum results.
