Clip description
The real estate agent (Peter Felmingham) comes to look over the Georgallis family home and makes a few suggestions on how it could be improved for sale, upsetting most of the family along the way. His reaction to Con’s masterpiece — the mural of Greece in the dining room, is comically insincere. When he also suggests removing the backyard shed, Sophia indignantly points out it is their grandfather’s bedroom.
Curator’s notes
The Georgallis family home is a star in its own right in this production. Beginning with the iconic Melbourne tram rumbling past outside, the house comes to life under the critical scrutiny of the dodgy real estate agent. With its rich production detail, this house is delightfully evocative of this time and place.
