Curator’s notes
While many Fast Forward sketches present themselves as TV shows, there are also more general character-based sketches like this one. This supremely disinterested duo were recurring characters and demonstrate Turner and Szubanski’s flair for creating slightly grotesque comic characters.
Turner and Szubanski’s television collaborations began in D-Generation (1985–87) and later included Kath and Kim (2002-07), with fellow Fast Forward writer-performers Gina Riley and Glenn Robbins and director Ted Emery.
