Clip description

One of the seven dwarves stole the apple to save Snow White. After a lot of effort, the cops have finally worked out a way to get the dwarf to ‘cough up’ the stolen apple with the help of Claude, the frog forensic scientist. This case has been another harrowing experience for Detective Johnny Legend and he is feeling rather blue by the end of it. But it’s all worth it. The Evil Queen has her apple back and the story of Snow White can resume. This time, thanks to the FTPD, there will be a happy ending.

Curator’s notes

One thing that I particularly like about this series, and which is quite different and refreshing in a children’s show, is that there are multiple villains, not just the same baddie all the time, which injects energy and variety. The slapstick and comic moments are mostly provided by the hapless detective Johnny Legend. The arrival of the campy prince at the end is an amusing touch. The strong female lead character is also an important element.
