Gregory has placed magnets in his shoes and hat so that he won’t fall into outer space when he gets to Australia. Unfortunately he sets off the alarms at the airport and the family is pulled aside for questioning.
Curator’s notes
This is a very funny scene in which Gregory (Liam Hess) has to explain why he is wearing the magnets to a British security officer. It also features lots of the series’ signature use of sound effects. Using an upside-down shot to transition to the Australian Kings makes a lovely connection, especially as their conversation reveals the Australians’ mistaken belief about their relatives’ financial standing.
