Clip description
Holly (Dominique Crawford) convinces a nervous Jacinta Peterson (Greta Larkins) to play, and although intimidated by the comments of the Rams, Jacinta gives it her best and shoots her three-pointers. Her father Coach Peterson (David Roberts) and her brother Joel (Nick Colla) in the Rams are astounded.
Curator’s notes
This is a delightful scene where the geeky Jacinta comes out of hiding and proves herself to be a great point shooter. Her transformation into the sporting hero is the stuff of dreams. The wise Holly accepts Jacinta’s weakness in the game and sets up the play so the team plays to Jacinta’s goal shooting strength. It has a strong message about teamwork, acceptance and how the parts of a team can come together to create a greater whole.
