The mid-19th to the mid-20th century was the century of engineering. The degree to which developments in engineering have changed our lives can’t be underestimated. The bulldozer, a machine of immense power combined with speed, is a quintessential product of that century. This clip, shot in 1948, shows the International TD-24 bulldozer performing what had once been unimaginable tasks. The bulldozer made land clearing possible in regions and ways humanity had previously only dreamed about. It led the way in what many have termed the 'road building frenzy’ of the 20th century.
