The short film Swinger can be viewed here in its entirety. A camera scans around an open-plan apartment as swing music plays on the radio. The phone rings repeatedly and a series of messages are left on an answering machine, telling the story of the tenant’s past few days.
Curator’s notes
Gregor Jordan was art director as well as director for Swinger and has a lot of fun with the cluttered apartment. The Tropfest film festival requires entrants to include a ‘signature item’ in their films, announced each year. In 1995, it was coffee beans and these can be seen amongst the paraphernalia.
