Gary is woken up

Original classification rating: PG. This clip chosen to be PG

Clip description

Gary (Donnovan Mears) is a young dad awoken by his daughter Aspen (Aspen Beattie), who he immediately sends on an errand.

Curator’s notes

As well as making the earlier documentary Rydin’ Time (2005), Trisha Morton-Thomas played one of the sisters in Radiance (1998, directed by Rachel Perkins).

According to the production notes, Morton-Thomas 'got the idea for the film from a story my cousin told me. She had been sick with the flu and her two-year-old daughter kept bringing water into the room for her to drink. After a while my cousin called out to her mother to stop giving the baby glasses of water and then she got a nasty surprise.’
