This clip illustrates examples the stonework of the fort, the Martello Tower, and the firing of one of the fort’s guns. The cells of the fort are used to store gunpowder.

Curator’s notes

Fort Denison’s round stone Martello Tower was one of the last Martello Towers to be built in the then British Empire.
