This Australasian Gazette exclusive story from 1917 shows troops from the Engineers’ Depot rehearsing a raid on enemy trenches. Soldiers are instructed by their commanding officers by telephone.

The camera captures the action by panning from left to right and back again. Although edits are made the camera angle remains the same throughout the newsreel.
