Clip description

This colour home movie shows views from various points around Sydney Harbour in the mid-1940s. The Harbour Bridge is seen, and the south head of the harbour, with the water tower at Vaucluse visible on the horizon. A man, standing in a foreshore cliff top reserve, looks at a gun emplacement with the cannon still in place.

Curator’s notes

Filmed in colour, this home movie is a good record of Sydney Harbour and its foreshores.
