Police pull Les (Les Graham) over, and demand that he unload the truck. The other musicians, who are following the truck in their car, stop to investigate the hold-up. There is an altercation between the police and the band members.
Curator’s notes
This clip depicts the heightened tension between the police and the bands in the film. The police provoke a response from the musicians that eventually results in a violent outcome and arrests. It also depicts the way racist language was used in this particular era, when racial vilification was prominent and transparent.
