Clip description

Convinced her father was murdered, Kim Marsden (Jeanette Elphick) tells cattle station manager McLeod (Max Osbiston) she has sent for ‘the Sundowner’. McLeod claims the Sundowner is a myth created by Aborigines.

Curator’s notes

Several intriguing elements are woven into the death of Kim’s father and her search for the truth. Kim claims the Sundowner is her godfather and was one of her father’s best friends. McLeod is sceptical, believing the Sundowner to be a myth. Kim is sure the Aborigines can summon the Sundowner to her property. McLeod admits ‘the blacks’ can do remarkable things but doubts they can bring the Sundowner to Kim.
