In the workshop, the apprentice mechanic Gary (Ben Mendelsohn) shows Noel (Dennis Coard) what makes a good or bad car. Noel sends a finance company official away, when he tries to get Gary to sign a loan document. Steve (Frankie J Holden) explains why he doesn’t want his garage turned into an American-style mini-mart.
