Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975)

  1. Wow! My name is Thomas Knight,a former Page Boy at the Capitol Theatre Melbourne then Film Projectionist now running my own film production services.I have opened this comment with 'Wow' the reason being that I have obtained the Blu-Ray print of Peter Weir's Directors Copy of 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' It comes in FHD 1080 with HD sound and the restoration is nothing short of a miricle. As the theme music is pan flute the HD sound is fantastic a problem that always showed up in the original. If you have BR and an amplifyer that decodes HD sound for goodness sake get it. Best film one can ever see.!Very very highly recommended.

  3. One of the better films that I have seen although I have not watched the entire film in a couple of years. It is one of those films that while watching it, it's like watching art, if you look at art too much, it loses it's impact, if you don't look at it in a while, you forget some important features but still appreciate it. I recommend this film to people who are looking for a great Australian thriller, it is one of the best ever made. Based on what I remember, I would rate this film 7/10, it's a movie that will stay with you even if you haven't seen it in a while, such as myself.
