Reverend Abel (George Doran) starts a series of fights with various passengers and crew, including Mr Packer (Desmond Hay). Chief Officer Vowels (William Carroll) warns the parson to stop making trouble. Miss Fortescue (Mollie Kerwin) attempts to follow Packer into the bushland, where he has a secret stash of whiskey, but she runs into the cook (Douglas MacKinnon). Meanwhile, the pastor starts another fight.

The sequence gives a good sense of the location’s rugged terrain and beauty, as well as the fairly primitive script, direction and acting.
