Colin and Mike’s pitch to ‘money man’ Malcolm comments on the eternal debate in the Australian film industry about which audience Australian productions are aimed at. Colin believes in the integrity of his very Australian story about war heroes, while Mike is readily prepared to cast an American lead actor in order to secure Malcolm’s financial backing. Colin’s dedication to art and Mike’s willingness to compromise inevitably results in conflict and chaos during production.
