Clip description

Mavis Malbunka, a Western Arrernte elder, tells the story of the Min Min light and its relationship to Tnorala.

Curator’s notes

This clip highlights the relationship between this Dreaming story and the present. Mavis explains that the morning star and evening star may be seen today looking around the earth for their child. She recounts the story of a couple of health workers who saw a light that followed them as they drove along a remote road at night. From a distance Mavis and another Western Arrernte person saw the light too but they understood what it was and what it meant, within the context of Tnorala Dreaming.
