Mother of murdered teenager Michael Marslew, Joan Griffiths recalls the day she identified her son’s body in the morgue. She hoped that it was a mistake and when she saw him he looked asleep. She sees that image every night. Michael’s father, Ken Marslew, asks the offenders, 'Why did you do it?’

An incredibly moving sequence as the mother recalls her son, and the ongoing effect on her of his death. The shots of the reactions of the two perpetrators listening are very strong.
