Clip description

Mrs Millie Boyd tells the story over re-enactment. She describes how the people sent for Leo, a famous warrior in his time, who trained with his two dogs. Leo’s wife would sing a special song that helped him in battle. The song Leo’s wife sang would conjure the wind, and give Leo strength.

Curator’s notes

A simple documentary that is told for the serious purpose of defining tribal boundaries, though the historical context of the story is confused by the contemporary names of the hero and heroine, Leo and Leva.
