Clip description

Crocodile hunters travel down a river to trap a saltwater crocodile amongst the mangrove swamps. They build a fence to lead the crocodile towards the bait and into a trap. A wire loop attached to a heavy log acts as a noose. While the men wait for the crocodile, they search for the nest of eggs hidden in the grass and leaves. They find 50 eggs, one of which is examined in close-up and compared to a hen’s egg. The next morning, an adult crocodile struggles on the riverbank having been caught in the trap.

The clip contains an instrumental soundtrack and voice-over narration by Frank Thring Snr.
