Curator’s notes
This clip is an example of Jeni’s frustration with the way things are for women. She questions her mother’s role as well as her own needs and wants. By what Jeni says, it seems that she has jumped off the existential cliff and there is no way back. She can no longer accept the way things are and the film gives the impression that she will soon make changes in her life.
