Contacts are not mates

This clip chosen to be PG

Clip description

Police Sergeant Micky McClintock (Gary Sweet) has abseiled down dozens of stories of one of the city’s tallest buildings to place himself in a position to talk to a 'jumper’, someone who’s threatening to suicide.

Curator’s notes

We discover that Micky’s life experiences are very similar to those of Bob the jumper. Both men are divorced with young kids and an ex-wife; both are mad about training for and running in marathons and both are action men. The difference is that Bob doesn’t have good mates like Steve. He has contacts.

Each week this television drama series offers a completely different storyline that is resolved within the hour. Each week, the regular cast of the squad is augmented by guest actors. In this story Philip Quast is the jumper and Tara Morice is his secretary who alerts the police rescue squad.
