Jason (David Hoflin), Brett (Jeffrey Walker) and the kids from Orca find a spaceship buried beneath the sand in the badlands on Neri’s (Marzena Godecki) tropical island. Neri finds a way into the spaceship under the water, and she and Jason go exploring.
Curator’s notes
This glorious tropical island and barrier reef setting, and the beautiful Neri swimming beneath the water with her unique kick, are distinctive features of the Ocean Girl series.
In a further development from series one, the other Orca kids in the gang now know about Neri and are involved in her adventures. Also of interest are the ways in which editing techniques, sets and lighting are used to seamlessly connect the different settings, from exteriors shot on location in Port Douglas, north Queensland, to interior scenes such as the spaceship shot in a Port Melbourne studio.
Thanks to the generosity of the rights holders, we are able to offer Ocean Girl's mysterious past from the television program Ocean Girl – Series 2, Episode 3 as a high quality video download.
