Rob arrives for a tour of the house he designed and built for his own family but was unable to finish for financial reasons. It’s now owned by another family who love it dearly.
Curator’s notes
Rob’s marriage had ended and he was determined to build a dream house for his kids. His ambitions far outweighed his means and in the end he was forced to sell.
This is a really sad story and well told. Rob’s dream could not be realised but the dream house has since made another family very happy and he’s a big enough man to live with that. He deserved better out of life. I’d like to know whether he’s been able to find a reasonable life for himself since those days of adversity.
