The Food Lovers’ Guide to Australia – Series 5 Episode 5 (2004)

Synopsis

Maeve O’Mara travels to north-east Tasmania to discover the secrets behind creating a terrific cheddar. We then meet the chef of Sydney’s great restaurant, Claude’s, while Joanna Savill helps with the preparations for a three day long religious feast organised by Australia’s oldest Sikh community.

Curator’s notes

Another fascinating and most unusual food program, as reporters Maeve O’Mara and Joanna Savill travel to the far corners of Australia where the most diverse produce is grown and then cooked by Australia’s leading chefs. When Joanna is invited to a Sikh religious festival and feast, it’s as if we have entered another world. And it’s a great way to discover the worlds of immigrant Australians.
