Toma is both passionate about his eggplants and keen to show off his invention, an ingenious machine which helps with the picking. His wife works along side and afterwards it’s home to the barbie where both of them explain one of their favourite recipes, from Croatia.

Eggplant, also known as aubergine, is one of the world’s most versatile vegetables. This is the story of one man’s passion for the vegetable he grows in his adopted country of Carnarvon on the banks of the Gascoyne in the Kimberley region of Australia, far from where he grew up, in Croatia.
