Clip description

This clip tells a creation story relevant to artist David Malangi and visits sites in the landscape relating to the story.

Curator’s notes

As in clip one, the filmmaker makes use of voice-over and ethereal sounding music to emphasise the creation story presented in this clip. The aerial shots visually mirror the patterns and shapes used in the work of the artist Malangi which successfully connects his work with the landscape. We are meant to feel Malangi is wholly at ease in his country and this is shown by him walking, casually drinking from a waterhole and relating the creation story in his language while sitting comfortably on the ground.
