Clip description
Ron (John Derum) and the foreman (Grahame Bond) are having a drink in the pub after work. It’s not long before the lively banter turns nasty and the foreman discovers he’s called 'Linda the Feline Foreman’ by the workers who also wonder why he’s never married.
Curator’s notes
This is a well-observed moment at the pub when it’s revealed that the foreman is gay and has been hoping to hide it from his workmates but without success. The sketch bites deep and is very funny at the same time. The direction and editing work exceptionally well to accentuate what is essentially a dialogue-driven sketch. The camerawork effectively captures the rapid-fire banter between the two, closing in on Ron when he makes a cutting remark and then the foreman to show his anxiety.
