Curator’s notes

The narration in this film and the musical score serve to both promote Toowoomba as a tourist destination, and to show off its natural beauty. The involvement of the Department of Lands and Irrigation and the Forestry Department in the making of this film explain this emphasis.

Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers is an annual event and has been running for over 50 years.
