This clip chosen to be G

Clip description

The leather uppers are sewn by machine and stitched together before being trimmed. A machine punches eyelets into both sides of the upper. This is demonstrated for the camera by a female worker. The uppers are then lined and stuffed.

Curator’s notes

Close-ups and demonstrations for the camera are used to illustrate what each part of the shoe-making process entails.
