Clip description
At the end of the day, Frankie’s teacher (Renee Newman-Storen) apologises for not taking him on the excursion. Frankie (Antionne Forrest-Yarran) picks up the box of matches she leaves behind. On the way home from school, he sets fire to his fire engine drawing. The fire gets out of control and Frankie watches from the sidelines as firefighters arrive to extinguish the blaze.
Curator’s notes
This clip shows Frankie’s sadness and pain as he realises he was treated unfairly. Frankie gets to see the firefighters in action after all, despite being excluded from the school excursion.
