Clip description
This clip shows Mrs Grice, other guests and members of hospital staff at the opening of the New Melbourne Hospital. It begins with an exterior of the hospital building, followed by shots of the corridors and patient wards filled with empty beds.
Curator’s notes
The Mrs Grice in this clip is probably the wife of Sir John Grice, who was president of the hospital board from 1905 to 1918.
