Curator’s notes

This segment from an Australasian Gazette newsreel captures the essence of Australian beach life of the 1920s. Apart from the opening title card, and a slight awareness of the camera’s presence, this newsreel is purely observational.

The title Some Sunday Morning gives the impression that this recreational beach fun happens every weekend, a way of life enjoyed by Australians.
