Clip description

This Australasian Gazette newsreel from 1925 shows the Governor of Victoria, Colonel George Rous, 3rd Earl of Stradbroke, arriving by car at Parliament House, Melbourne to open Parliament. He salutes an Army Guard of Honour before entering Parliament House. After the ceremony the Governor walks down the steps outside Parliament House and gets into his car.
