Curator’s notes
This clip from a home movie, filmed by Australia’s longest serving Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies, shows footage of the Lodge, the residence of the Australian Prime Minister.
The Lodge was originally built for the Treasurer however it became the Prime Minister’s residence when work on the other residences was cancelled due to economic constraints.
