There were three goldfields in the Indigo Shire including Yackandandah, Indigo and Beechworth which is captured in this home movie clip filmed by Alan Bresnahan in 1971.
Living in the goldfields was harsh and unsanitary. Today people try their hand at planning for gold simply for pleasure.
