Synopsis
Canberra resident and home movie enthusiast, Konrad Dimpel captures his young family on an outing to the Manuka Swimming Pool in 1961.
Curator’s notes
Like many of the home movies in the Dimpel collection, this silent 8mm colour footage provides a snapshot of Canberra social life in the 1960s. At the time this home movie was made, Canberrans had been enjoying Manuka Pool for over 30 years and Dimpel’s young family enjoy wading in the children’s pool adjacent to the main swimming pool.
