Tracy (Cate Blanchett) has been hiding in a bedroom while Lionel Dawson (Hugo Weaving) receives a heroin delivery. When she returns he’s getting ready to inject. Tracy is angry that he has forgotten she is there. Next morning, Tracy swims laps, watched by her mother (Noni Hazelhurst). At the bank, later that day, a loans officer rejects her loan request because of her ‘colourful’ credit history, which includes credit card fraud when she was a junkie.
